What does success mean to you? To us success means to feel confident in your own skin and empowered in the clothes you wear. Our collection fosters self confidence by allowing customers to Dress For Success while living in YOUR OWN GREATNESS.
"Merit City" represents Merit’s origin and the spirit of Detroit. This design pays homage to the city where we came from and represents the future successes of the youth of Detroit.
"Reaching for The Stars" is us wanting you to not just wear your success but reach for it. Don’t wait for opportunities, go chase them. “Reach for the stars” makes your success a reality.
"Finesse Your Success" means to be direct with what success is to you.
Being successful makes you feel like you won in life. We used a crown and a trophy to portray that you can handle difficult tasks without giving up without a fight.
What does your team name mean to you?
To me, being in your own greatness means to be unapologetically yourself no matter what and to bring new ideas whenever you come. I live in my own greatness everyday and I want people to wear our creations because they will make them feel confident.

What does your team name mean to you?
At first our team name was “Youth of Greatness” but we changed it to “Your Own Greatness.”
Because we make our own greatness, nobody makes it for you. “Your Own Greatness” means to me that you embrace your unique strengths and show something you never thought you had. We changed it because our target audience isn't just for young people, it's for everyone to know that they too can become great.

What did you learn throughout this process?
I really liked designing and choosing designs for our products, it was a great experience hearing everyone's ideas and creativity. I learned to always hear your teammates out and give positive feedback.

I want the customers to know we are good, fun people who not only want to live in our own greatness but we want others to do so as well.

To me, Dress for Success means to never give up on your dreams and, no matter how many times you fail at something, keep going.
